Dr. Wilkie is one of first in British Columbia to introduce this form of treatment for women with Stress Urinary Incontinence. His expertise and experience ensures that the injection treatment technique is precise, achieving the most favourable result and often instant cure.
The Injection Therapy is particularly appropriate for women not suitable for surgical procedures as well as for women for whom other prior intervention and treatment for Stress Urinary Incontinence has failed.
Nearly every client can be injected using a local anesthetic. A repeat treatment may be required in some women.
If this form of treatment is chosen as an option, you will receive information about the procedure and post-injection care during your consultation. It should be noted that in British Columbia, some of the costs of injection therapy are not covered by the BC Medical Service Plan. If you have Extended Care or third party insurance, they will often cover the majority of the cost of injection therapy.
